In this edition of Postcards from the bar Exam we have Victor Rubino, the President of Practicing Law Institute (PLI). PLI is a non-profit continuing legal education organization chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York. They offer seminars held annually in locations across the United States, annually supplemented Treatises, Audio CDs and DVDs, MP3s, Live Webcasts, Course Handbooks, CLE Now web programs, and  Private Label Solutions.

I was told (wrongly) that if I took the bar in Ithaca the pass rate would be higher. In any event, I ended up running the PLI bar review which was on reel to reel tapes(does this date me?) that came overnight by Greyhound Bus after PLI sessions in NYC. In any event, I have a very fond memory of that time as there was little to do in Ithaca but study and it was quiet even in the saloons. I also learned alot of law never taught at Cornell (bailments). Little did I think I would end up becoming President of PLI. Small world.
